 Bike Fit 

A proper bike fit is of paramount importance for cyclists of all levels, as it can significantly enhance comfort, performance, and overall riding experience. Achieving an optimal bike fit involves a combination of careful measurements, adjustments, and expert analysis. Several key methods are employed to ensure a precise fit. Firstly, body measurements, including inseam length, arm length, and torso dimensions, are taken into account to determine the appropriate frame size and geometry. Additionally, saddle height and position, handlebar reach and width, and pedal cleat alignment are meticulously adjusted to match the rider's biomechanics and riding style.

 

Advanced tools like motion capture systems and pressure mapping may also be used to fine-tune the fit, ensuring that the rider's power transfer, aerodynamics, and comfort are maximized. A well-fitted bike not only reduces the risk of injury but also boosts efficiency and enjoyment, making it a crucial aspect of cycling performance and longevity.

 Bike Fit 

Getting a professional bike fit is certainly the preferred way to go to get dialled on your bike, if however you want to go with a DIY method to start with andsort your saddle height, here are a couple of known methods you can choose from.

LeMond Formula:  multiple your inseam height by 0.885, the resulting measurement should be the distance from the centre of the bottom bracket and top of the saddle.

 

An alternative is to drop the crank to full extension and rest your heel on the pedal, setting the saddle height at the point where the leg is entirely straight (and therefore has a soft bend when clipped in).
